Reality ... What is the true value?

James 1:9-10

9 Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, 10 but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.

Reality ... What is the true value?

I have a place in Glory-land and I am clinging to this plot

Where on earth did this start that down-here seems everything?

Who keeps this illusion going and about times that I forgot?

That the most important things are not the ones that spin

Here we are and where to go and who will buy the ticket?

Who can afford the fare in this trackless sand of existence?

Who really wants to know and who wants to get with it?

Who will help me when I fall and who’ll show persistence?

At the end of road’s final day who will recognize me?

Scarred and torn and bruised with self-inflicted wounds

What is left to whisper since I was not what I ought to be?

Will I cry or be amused for once I realize that I’m found?
