Reality in world of illusions

It has come to my understanding that it is easier to remain happy in a world of illusions than it is to face reality.

We live in a society where reality is just a fantasy.

What's crazy to me is that I see a happy little girl in my dreams that can do anything.

But growing up wasn't all that easy.

So clear and deep are my fancies

Of things I wish were true.

That I was actually pretty for someone to love me too.

That I was actually confident to try new things out of the blue.

That I was actually content to smile with you.

I kept those needs close to my heart.

So I could at least feed my mind with illusions that drifted me apart.

I lost myself in the dark.

It was nearly all mine in my dreams

Until I had to wake up and face reality.

It was like everything good vanished and it was back to the life that I wanted to be finished.

I prayed and cried for the pain to go away.

Years and years of depression eating my soul away.

I was just a walking facade pretending that everything was okay.

Laughing and smiling, but on the inside I honestly just needed a break.

So, one night I decided to take a break and I saw something that was telling me to wait.

In the right time it could be all mine.

It was later in my lifetime that things started to change.

Light exchanging with darkness to bring what my heart wants to live for.

It was all coming together that I was the one God sent for.

Something special that's been in the rough and dust.

To create an unknown supernova that will bust.

Showing what I had all along to be that happy little girl in my dreams .

To realize all I had to do was love me.

Hope once dead, resurrected

Despair, now forced to resign

A glimpse of heaven's promise

Now it's finally mine.
