realization
i know you see
that my bungalow has been destroyed
by the plastic
invading my lungs
my ocean,
my home,
my life...
it's been in your hands.
and you seemed
to have forgotten
that the garbage
you throw out
winds up
in the places
we,
as animals,
are forced to live.
you are safe
from breathing the smog
within your
abode
but we,
as animals,
are forgotten,
left,
to die
