Realization of Love

Bruises on my face

Caused by your cold hands

Why do I stay, you ask?

Because I love you

Even when I hate you,

I love you

Made me look at life in a new way

So attentive to everything

Looking over my shoulder

On my feet every moment of the day

We scream and scream

But at the end I still love you

What is love if you can’t get through the madness before the calm

Is there even a calm to come

Am I wasting my time thinking you’ll change

I was drowning emotionally

But that's over with

I’m letting you go

If the love isn't reciprocated then what is there to do

I want carefree love

Love that has you smiling for the smallest things

Love that no argument can break

Someone who’ll put my needs into consideration

Being able to learn from each other and with each other

Love is about realization

Knowing that you can live without that person

But hoping that’ll it’ll never come to that

Because that person makes your life that much brighter

Because you love each other

Just as much as you love yourselves
