Really?

Dear Disappointment,

You are orange.

Hot like an ember.

Searing, sizzling.

So painful.

I am seized with injustice

I worked!

hardhardhardhardhard

My inner child lies on the floor

Salty with tears.

Orange.

Like the sun setting on my soul.

But.

For every sunset,

the sun rises..

Pink.

Sweet and gentle

Soft.

Like the cheeks of my inner child

When I wipe away the tears.

I will not

Let you

Define

Me.
