Is This Really Real?

When I first met you I swear the whole world stopped

I looked at you like i found the perfect gift at a gift shop

I looked at you the same way i look at soda pop

when i’m thirsty

the thirst,the thirst is real

i want to go take you out for a meal

take you out for a cruise in my automobile

and forget

forget, i forgot what i was gonna say

my mind starts racing, start getting nervous like this my first play

then you say “hi ’and look me in the eye but then look away

cause you felt it

felt it, i feel like we should be together

for four months we text other

and now i constantly ask myself if whether

it was all worth it

worth, was it worth all that time

imagining you’d finally be mine

but then you committed the ultimate crime

you got back with him

back with him, you turned your back on me

after all the late night chats when we both fell asleep at three

after all the sacrifices i made for ‘free’

cause i thought i had a chance

chance, was this a chance encounter or was it all real

cause if this was all fake then why am i in my feels

why do i feel like shaquille o’neal

knowing i can’t make that free throw

free throw, i feel like we could’ve made it

but i might as well have taken a chance in vegas

of nasa discovering an alien spaceship

cause now i can’t tell what's fake

fake, now i have to fake a smile
