The Reason

I write when there's a fire, a burning, a flame.

I write so the pain no longer rapes my brain.

With a pen and a pad I am in control.

In control of the tempo, the rhythm, the flow.

There's no screaming, no shouting, and all feelings are heard.

Never knew how exhilarating it could be to fill a paper with words.

To have control, feel empowered, and have no pain in sight.

This, is why I write.
