The Reason

Is there a reason

For the way you love me?

Please share it

So I can fathom why I’m worth your while.

Give me a reason

To reason with myself.

Show me how to care

About this husk, this empty shell.

Teach me how to learn

About the mechanism binding my soul.

Hold my hand and run

Strait into a much more beautiful state of mind.
