A Reason

I'm starting to see
The purpose for the pain
I'm beginning to see the light
But still there are tears that remain.
Sometimes its cold,lonely and dark
And sometimes my heart
Still breaks
When I think of all the mistakes
I've made...its like all the guilt of the past gets re-played...
I'm finding explanations for all the madness
Its getting a little better.
Finally, I'm getting my shit together.
Beginning with the end In mind,
Thanking those who've given me time,
To come back around,
The few that were there to help me when I was down.
Instead of kicking me further into the hole
It really hurt my soul, to be alone and get mistreated.
But it made me a stronger woman, now I'm not easily defeated.
Now I know there's a purpose for the pain.
