Proverbs 3:5   New English Translation

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

and do not rely on your own understanding.

What the mind lacks most is a spiritual insight

The brain can be stashed with a mix of concepts

Opinions and objectives and all the cares digested

The mind decides on what truth is and what to accept

With pre-conceived notions it will reject any truth

That will not blend in with the mind’s determination

Man’s mind damages more people than his heart’s intention

This mistake lies mostly in man’s commotion to “devotion”

Satan’s suggestions are geared to the mind

Unknowingly the most intimate Christians accept ideas in the mind

Oft they step away from plain teaching that the word of God provides

As one so stumbles and falls we should come to the realization

That no man is totally trustworthy as even the best will slide
