The reason i write

On the outside I seem tough

Like a hard shell surrounds me

But when I write

The shell cracks

And the inner me comes out

I let people see the lighter side of me

The side that is too nice and easily forgives

But when I write

The darker side of me shows

The pain, regret, and sorrow

Writing is a necessity for me

When no one will acknowledge me

Poems fill that void

Writing is my life

And that is why I write
