Reason With Me

Mon, 11/04/2019 - 20:18 -- Laker2b

Give me a reason not to.

Tell me,

With all your wisdom and candor,

A legitimate reason not to take the pillz.

The blade,

My fingernails,

Give me a reason already.

I worry about us.

"Us," well, there is no "us."

I understand that,

And I'm giving you your space,

And do not feel guilty for your reasons.

I want what is the best for you,

Even if it is the worst for me.

The bandages on my arms do not spell out your name.

Take advantage of the gift of time,

Breathe in every minute of a clear mind,

Swim in the relaxation of pleasure.

I know you know how much I care,

Let that not be an obstacle.
