Reasons
Today
You wake up hearing your alarm
oftenly the sound of miscomfort but today,
today is the day
Today is the day that ends with old friends
the day you take a test you spent all night reviewing for
the day the cafeteria serves your favorite food
the day you take a leap with confidence
the day your shift is easy and slow
the day of good memories
All good things came from today
Each thing happened for a reason
Tomorrow
You'll wake up to your alarm
But tomorrow,
tomorrow it shall be the sound of miscomfort
Tomorrow will end alone in tears
tomorrow you'll forget a project due
you'll get food poisoning
you'll swing and miss
you won't get a break at work
you'll live to forget this day
But despite this, each thing happened:
For a reason
Let each reason each encounter, each experience and each day, good or bad, shape you in a way that you might grow and succeed
