Reasons for Seasons

As the leaves on the trees shifted red

Many thoughts filled her head

The neighborhood kids played outside

They said, “come out and ride!”

Too old for that

She thought as she sat

As winter hit and snow fell too

Some friends began to bid adieu

To be the person they wanted her to be?

Or to be the real one within?

As cherry blossoms grew

She suddenly knew

There are reasons for seasons

With each one you grow

Take it slow

And one day, you’ll truly find your flow
