I’m here today for reasons unknown

I could have stopped on the way, halted from growth

My stay won’t be long, but I hope it lasts

I used to feel wrong, deep, deep, down, but it’s passed

Sometimes I wish I spent more time on my own

Free from work and fights, completely left alone

Somewhere I know that I’m just an ordinary jerk,

though I try to try, and do more than just lurk

Some days I’m off, some I’m on

I try to cough, but I fear I’m gone

Sitting with no one, dreaming in song.
