Reasons Why


He fell for her hard,

for she was not on guard.

"I promise," he said.

She read, not knowing it misled...

for he had lied.

She cried.

He hurt her heart.

yet they both fell apart.

She blocked him out,

he then had no doubt.

"I'm sorry," he said.

She read, then went to bed.

For she was now on guard.

the past felt like a shard.

And she was scarred.
