You only held me back. Clipped my wings so I couldn't fly.
Well look at me now. Soaring way up high and flying free.
You'll never again take that away from me.

I'm starting to forget your face.
It fades in and out now. Like a shadow.

The words you said are erasing from my mind. Your voice just a distant memory.
I still remember everything you did.
But everyday it hurts less and less.

I'm healing now. Becoming stronger. Living my life for me.

He makes me happy. Happier than I've ever been. I'm free now.
He cherishes what you always took for granted.
I feel like I can do anything now because he has shown me there are better things in life.

He has given me his friendship and more. While you just sucked my soul away.

So with this final goodbye, I want you to know that I thank you.
Thank you for breaking me down so I could come back stronger.
Stronger and made whole again.
