The past few months have been full of realization for me,
Sometimes you never see these things until after the fact,
but sometimes you see everything as it happens.
I can tell you, for years now I've been searching for something,
never quite able to find it, or even to know what it is I sought.
I had been dead for some time, before you found me,
the dull grey shades of life wrapped tightly around my corpse.
That all ended when you brought me back to life.
And then you showed me more than I could have ever thought to want.
Maybe it is all a dream, maybe it's more than I could hope for,
but nothing could make me regret this time with you,
if nothing else, I can say that I have learned to love and live,
and should I also learn to lose, know that the world is yours,
just as I am yours, now and forever, should you keep me.
