Reborn

In a sea of uncertainty, among crushing mountains

An avalanche waits to crush your soul.

Like a mere rag doll, helpless and worn,

Pressure suffocates your very being:

A fate of being born.

Uncertainty overshadows hope,

And you fear tomorrow will never see its dawn.

Why desire to inhale again when agony is oxygen?

Being breathless is peace.

But, before you give up, you kneel down, and with a new found voice,

Your spirit leaps and screams with piercing liberation.

Then the conductor releases you, making it enjoyable to breathe.

Where you were once weak, you are no longer.

Where you were then dead, life is sufficient.

Thoughts of demons and hellions vanquish; tranquility drowns you.

Depression turns to joy.

And for the first time being upright feels like standing

And it feels so good.

Better than you remember it before

Life is now worth living.

You are reborn.
