Reborn

Eyes closed,

one foot ahead of the other,

      I walk into the world.

The misty veil of the past lifts.

The winds of today’s spirit brush the earth.

Leaves whisper Nature’s song

   of love and life.

I can feel the Sun’s rays touching me, warming me,

   bathing me in His blessings.

   Then, I open my eyes.

Waves of blue and green with splashes of gold, purple, orange—

The earth is aglow with trust and promise

      and boundless love.

The world is new,

   and I feel alive again.
