Ephesians 1:17-19           New English Translation

17 I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, will give you spiritual wisdom and revelation in your growing knowledge of him, 18 —since the eyes of your heart have been enlightened—so that you can know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe, as displayed in the exercise of his immense strength.

When the new Spirit is received at the time of regeneration

He awaits the development of functions that were dormant for so long

Why did I think, that the “me”, who was raised, into salvation

Was not dead at all, but already complete and mature all along

Frequency in expression representing God’s attributes

Does not really mean we can at all comprehend them

We often talk like experts about the things we don’t know

And vaguely come across somehow as puppets in a show

Real spiritual potency contains this revelation

The Spirit of God makes so much known to us

All the things we need to know to be an effective witness

Just to show that we are here to the Glory of God’s name
