The Recipe for a Healthy Love

Two warm human bodies.

Two pairs of footprints upon the beach sand laid side-by-side, pathing towards the water.

Two smiles and uncontrollable laughter, as the blue water splashes around playfully.

Two pairs of eyes engaged at each other, as they lay upon the sand.

Two pairs of arms wrapped around, in the state of embrace.

Two pairs of lips meeting, as the waves moisten the sand that surrounds.

Mix in a bowl until sweet.

In addition,

Masses of emotional pain and discomfort and days filled with tension and awkwardness.

Countless tears and picture frames missing from the nightstand.

A multitude of fights filled with yelling and dishes smashed and scattered across the floor as the curses echo throughout the house.

An endless amount of lonely nights, bags packed, and farewell texts.

Mix into bowl until mixture turns bitter.

Next,

An infinite amount of forgiveness, dialogue, and explanation;

Perseverance, willingness, and endurance;

Hopefulness, patience, and optimism;

And Love.

Finally, stir thoroughly until mixture forms

Two warm, beautiful, compassionate, caring, and loving hearts who love to love each other.
