Recipe for Love

I have all the other ingredients:

 two Hands, holdable

 one Heart, unbroken

 a fistful of Hope

 three nods of Trust.

 a bowlful of Laughter

 whipped with Patience and Care.

several ounces of Respect, set aside for later use.

 Nearly all of my marbles.

But I am still missing my Other Half.

I looked down all the aisles

at the grocery store

and I even tried

online shopping.

Usually I would improvise

say, with One Good Friend or

a Sisterly Bond

but every recipe says there is no substitute.
