From Recluse to Reproach

Placed in front of my face
Laid a box
Not pandora more like a x marks the spot
They say it contains your dreams
But in reality it's just there to scheme
And conive its way into your subliminal mind
Telling you it'll all be fine if you follow this path
Read that book
Sit in that class
Don't move just listen
And repeat, repeat, repeat
like a damn machine
Stuck in a loop
Chasing an irrelevant dream
That's not yours
Never was
And never ever will be
But if it what's masses say is right
You do it, straight, don't even care to fight

But scratch that
I opened my eyes
Before i could be drowned in all the bullshit and the lies
I said "where do i go now if the path is untrue"
And I realized I had to start completely anew
I write my thoughts here for me and for you
And for us to do what we're really striving to do
And be whoever you want to really let em see
And dream up a dream that's even bigger than me

Just remember
Stay strong, do right
Keep your mind sharp and tongue dipped in silver
If they try to stop you then you shred em into slivers
Make a difference, or not
Just be you and have fun, man, rock
Out
Be
More
Go against the grain
And let out a roar
That'll make em all shake in their boots
Let em know you won't conform
Because all you ever wanted to be was more.
