recollection of a certain reverie
Such wondrous things, dreams are.
They seize the mind lying deep in the abyss of slumber,
and carry it into another dimension.
There they reveal countless dreamscapes,
hidden beneath the surface of consciousness.
Some resemble hell.
Some resemble heaven.
What once felt real becomes a hazy memory,
a fog that scatters the moment the eyes are opened.
And so I wonder:
Is the one who remembers only fragments of that otherworldly journey
truly happier than the one who never dreams at all?
