Reconfigured Being

Thus it was a warm and bright summer day When I met a new friend ever So nice For that night we talked until it felt as if it were May For I do love my friend as if I'd rolled lucky dice She helped me change into who I am now Though she didn't know what happened then Because of what she did, I can be her to sow The future of what is written with my pen By years long past, I've hurt and ached But now through one I may be cured
