For the Record

You're the one spinning

But I'm getting dizzy.

Never slow down, never speed up.

Hypnotic, steady.

You're almost always in black-

it's easiest.

When I saw you in white,

I wanted to cry.

You lord such power over me-

Make me want to

        dance

           weep

               laugh

                   scream

                       jump

                           and sing.

I can be broken; you'll repair me.

But you?

You have one chance.

Once you're shattered, that's the end.
