Recovery

Turn out the lights I see nothing The shiny blade makes me feel alright Makes me less of a monster Numbs me I want to be dead inside Turn the lights dim Let me see the familiar face again Force me to see hope Force me out of the dark Make me live Turn the lights bright I'm not dead yet I've finally realized That shiny blade never Made me feel alright The lights are bright I see you by my side Dear friend of mine I made a promise That I will no longer break You are by my side And that makes everything alright The lights are bright I'm not alright I am scarred And I am a monster But recovery is a long road Here it goes
