Recovery
My heart was broken from years of abuse, verbal, self-inflicted, and deliberate misuse. Given away far too many times- shard pieces have become a part of me-representing some belligerent, or foolish fond memory.
I took it back once, but it turned red again beating fiercely for what it yearns for deep within. I want it back, but surely it’s not mine, God said love hard-Did He say that was hard? Anyway- it’s said recovery is a lifetime, so I guess I’ll keep pushing until its quitting time.
