Recovery Came

Hold me tight

As we stay up all night

I stared into your eyes as you stared into the moon

Giggling and smiling it all felt so in tune

You promised me our love was equal

And I was simply a fool that believed you

You broke my heart yet I could never view you as evil

If anything at times I wished there was a sequal

Instead of endless nights with you it became endless nights thinking of you

My heart ached and there was nothing left to do besides contemplate

My brain turned into a dichtomy of wanting you and wishing I would've never met you

Our last conversation playing over and over in my head

Months went by and slowly recovery came

Soon it all felt like a foggy haze
