Recurring Thoughts At 3am
Recurring thoughts at 3:01am
You
I can't help but think time is the biggest demon. It's constantly at our throats; choking us every day. I don't have enough TIME to finish the project. I didn't have enough TIME to sleep. I wasn't there in TIME.
If time is but the essence than isn't time what makes this earth rotate? I mean, I know that is all gravity and the pull from the sun and surrounding planets but I have to think time holds us in this universe too.
We are born with nothing but a time bomb. We have one life. One chance. And after that time runs out... There is no going back.
But how is it, that it's now 3:04am and my mind is intertwined with the memories of you and I?
It's been six years. 72 months. 2,160 days. 51,840 hours. 3,110,400 minutes. 186,624,000 seconds.
It's 3:07 now so my math probably isn't correct but it can show just how much time it's been since I last watched you blink.
And I can't help to keep having this recurring thought at 3:09am...
You.
