Recurring Tragedies

Hours of writing and editing mess,

Finally hit “submit,” finally done,

Oh, for months and months, all hardcore finesse

And now there only remain few to none.

Oh, free at last from the shackles of work,

Now time to live how I truly deserve,

I lay on the couch my mouth in a smirk,

All i must do now is hope for a curve.

Move to my laptop with Netflix in mind,

And see one tab of my tragedy there,

Should I ignore it and try to unwind,

My work is complete, I have time to spare.

But one small look and my life has ended

Deadline ‘morrow, haven’t started… splendid!
