A Recycle Epiphany

A Recycle Epiphany

By

T.S.Zakem III

Glass is an amazing thing

Made long before Christ the King

Glass is a quid pro quo

We would get a deposit on bottles long ago

Kids would pick up bottles for a nickel or a dime

But plastics in this day is sublime

Glass you can sterilize now and then

Or melt it down and start over again

You can twist it

Blow it

Cut it

Stretch it

Into any shape you see fit

You’ll never see a Tiffany in plastic

Because glass is much more fantastic

Igor wouldn’t have broken a plastic jar

And Mary Shelly’s story wouldn’t get far

So lets’ start to recycle all our glass bottles and jars

And become environmental superstars
