Red

Red

So tell me what do you like about the color red?

I like red velvet cake. I love red dresses, but most importantly aren’t those red rose vines beautiful?

The same red as the women whom society have claimed to say “ew don’t bleed your red onto me” because red is the same color that a queen but I oops I meant my ancestor referred to as madame used to paint her face because the only good baby is a dead baby.

Red the same color that when in my wedding day when people say “choose white” I will look at my mom and say “I choose red”. Because white equals innocent which I am not so therefore how could the pearly white gates recognize I. I whom have been told how I talk like a white girl but when people say “you’re black” it reminds me of the pages of my true ancestral lineage.

So tell me what do you like about the color red?

AngelOfWinter

I'm just a town small girl from with nothing but big dreams and a giant heart. Poetry is my life and being a poet is more than just about writing or expressing my feelings it's more about translating a story. Stay beautifully strong, angels <3
