Red

Fall is Death. Fall is Red. A beautiful doom.

The leaves change to a fiery hue, one last

Blaze of glory before they fall-lifeless-

To the ground. The sun sets and the sky is

Stained a bloody crimson, fading as the

Darkness takes over. The fire flickers in

The Night, reflecting its' glow into the

Eyes of the Forgotten. Their pink mouths gaping,

Hungry for something to fill the hollow space

Inside. But there is nothing. The fruit of

Summer has died. All the animals are

hiding. So the Forgotten stare into

The flames. Watching, waiting, for Death to save

Them from this Red existence. They suffer.

I know. I have not forgotten you.
