"Red"

The color you feel when the sun grazes your face

The color you feel when your mother kisses you on the cheek

The color you felt when your father left you

The color you felt when your uncle wrapped his arms around you

The color you feel when you burn your tongue on hot soup

The color you feel when she greets you with a smile

The color you felt when they didn't believe you

The color you feel while laying next to a burning fireplace

The color you feel when he forgets about you

The color you feel when you haven't seen your sister in a while

The color you feel as she slides her fingertips up your arm

The color you feel when your loved ones surround you

The color you felt when she said goodbye for the last time

A color isn't only but a color
