Red Tree
A lone red tree lost in all the green, like a painting in an empty room
A spattering of life and creativity in a world gone monotone
We search to find that little bit of light in the enveloping darkness
That bright green little Bug with all the bumper stickers in a sea full of cars
That shock of pink hair in the midst of all the blondes and brunettes
A helping hand in all the destruction
A peace in the middle of the chaos
The part that urges us to love amidst all of the hate
Let that push you on in the days of lone
When the depression immobilizes you
When the anxiety locks you away
When the fear keeps you from exploration
Remember that painting in the empty room
Strive to be that red tree in the greenery
Don’t hold back from who you are
Or who you’ll be
