Redeemed Mess

Tension so thick, you can cut it with a knife Starting the day she agreed to be his wife Big brown eyes filled with shame Even though she's not the one to blame She did her best, all she could do Dreaming of a day when she can start brand new Erase all traces of this man she once had The one that her kids are forced to call "dad" A disgrace, a mockery, this marriage was a joke But she did not realize this until that day she awoke Awoke to lies like gunshots Her stomach in knots The clashing of pots All those treacherous thoughts Have molded and formed her into who she is not She is a redeemed mess Worth way more, not less She is not a no, but a yes She can finally come out and confess: She's done
