Redeeming Qualities
He was truly the worst person I ever met.
His brown eyes are nothing so ordinary.
They twinge like a deep mid-November fire
and smoke resonates from his head like dead leaves getting caught in the flame.
He was devious, vacant and unreachable.
He ferments in your soul and forces himself into your bloodstream.
Then leaves you to bleed out.
He’s a liar.
He’s a hypocrite.
He is the embodiment of uncertainty.
He is doubt.
He is manic.
He is intoxicating.
He is unstable but his one redeeming quality?
He’s probably the love of my life.
Among being the smartest, kindest and most compassionate person I have ever met,
he is my best friend and he knows me like no other.
