Redemption

As I walked through the silent forest
Devoid of sound piece and mind
It slithered so elegantly in my abode
It said I love you
I want you
I need you
It said
Follow me and you will live forever in my kingdom
The kingdom underneath the sea
In my confusion
Slowly
But hesitantly I agreed
Immersing me in its shadows of sin
In my effrontery I diverged in its direction
Trusting in his projection of lustful mortality
I envisaged myself absolved, giving no thought to the aphotic one’s sinew
The opulent ways he could allure
Not Knowing that I would be
Forever enslaved by obscured forces
It was too late for me
I wept in my torment
For so many days I remained in chains
Captive in the dark ones grasps
Longing for my freedom
Longing for upheaval
The night fell in a heavy, suffocating cloak, entwined am I.
The light for which I once prayed
Flares once, then dies,
Swept away by guilt.
Thinking to myself, all hope must surely perish.
Soon I will be no more
Not fit for his eyes
Not fit to even bear his cross
My passion throbbed no longer
I looked heavenward
Questioning him
How could you hate me?
For was it not you who claimed to be benevolent?
Was it not you that claimed to be a forgiver
The almighty redeemer
The one who saves his beloved children
Am I now one of your forgotten
The ones that you callously throw away
Left on the curb to simply fade away
Shadows surround me, crying,
I have lost my light.
Tortured forms manifest in panes of glass sculptures as dust dances in the atmosphere
I could hear them coming
Silent footsteps that seemed to grow louder and louder with every passing moment
Forming strange images within my mind
Images not meant for mortal eyes
Images fueled with rage
Infiltrating my exposed flesh
Ripping away at my soul
Consuming me from the inside
Tears on my face
On my knees in constant prayer
Praying to an unjust deity
Crying for his mercy
Begging for forgiveness
Saying to myself
I have wronged you so many times
I accept the consequences for my sins
I raise my head, now submitting to this callous fate
I submit to his final judgement
Tears falling down my face
I began to pray
“Lord release me from this loathsome abyss”
From this accursed depth where I deteriorate
Darkness turned to light my fears began to fade away
As a luminous light shined my way
From a cross that was acquiesced for me
Calling for me
Screaming out my name
Pardoning me of all my misdeeds
And a voice declaring “absolve your vainglory, reach heavenward, and be set free.
With apologetic eyes
On my knees
Looking upward
 I cast my arrogance aside
Fixated only on the glorious light
The redeeming light consumed me
Feeling the compassion of the apparitions solace
As gloom absented itself from my perception
The bindings of my soul became manumit
Free from his evil
From the devil’s tenure I was severed
Collapsing into the ordnance of my redeemer
  Receiving the gift of paradise
Acknowledging his greatness
He is truly the heavenly father
The alpha
The omega
His love is eternal
His love knows no limit
Forgiveness is his name
Our father
GOD
We shall be forever redeemed
Forever
Forever

Forever (x 2)  reborn
