Redemption From Deception

How can I say that I'm over the lies?
This back and forth, just like running for miles.
My head says stay strong; my heart is confused.
Nothing to gain but everything to lose.

Yet every time I look into your eyes,
those passing glances and those hidden smiles
remind me of times when I wasn't used.
Everything's spinning; it's hard to just choose.

How did we get here? Could you hear my cries?

There's no use making senseless denials
for what we've done and for what we've accused;
it's all just blatantly hard to refuse.

Still, I hope to forget this deception

with saving grace we will find redemption.
