Rediscovery

Emotions and turbulence,

Oh when did they become so solidly set?

Whether I preferred the strong confidence

I know not yet

Standing up when lies are raining down

Discovering friends in a drought of kindness

Pushing myself to the limit to rediscover my crown

Back and forth I go, but—this time embracing my mess

Walls littered with more memories

Never before have I felt or laughed or cried just so

Credit God if you please

He has made me joyful wherever I go

To Him do I send my plea

He knows who I long with my whole being to be

But all I seem to know is that He is He

And I am barely me

My heart was broken, I tried to flee

Now, I know to bend the knee

I still cannot see

But I’m convinced that I believe
