Reds to Blues

There once was a man who got stuck in ways no one could break

He got his mind all tied up inside

He lost track of what he had,

And his little girl left alone to cry.

When he was with the family

His vision was too blurred to see

He felt around for something to get anger out

He just couldn't think of what it could be.

Momma said, "Don't worry baby doll,

We can get by, we can move on.

Lay down and get some sleep,

It'll be better by dawn."

The only man that could protect was the wise.

Granddad prayed for a sudden change.

But that one man who got stuck well,

He might as well have been deranged.

The little girl left alone to cry,

She was tired of his evil ways,

She wanted her Momma's face to heal,

She waited and waited each day.

Those reds from that man

It was anger, blood and tears.

He inflicted so much hate onto the family,

that his little girl was scarred for years.

His baby girl and look-alike sons,

Together they wanted to fight off the evil.

They didn't want Momma to suffer anymore.

They waited for the perfect moment

and they left without a single word,

for their wings were finally free to soar.
