Please stop loving me
We’ve already cut the cake and split the kids
Can't you see we can't afford another wedding?
In this economy
Red the tears we've bleached white always seem to end up dripping blue.
What custody do I deserve over you?
I should have never loved you good
Too much, too soon
Hearts too pure to augur
The bullets now stuck on our roof.
We paved the auburn bricks sharing the guilt
But this wasn’t supposed to be your move.
You were always the better player
From left to right back to start, dragging me out of jail about a couple hundred times in the dark.
And you would line up your giant fingers on my screeching heart, awaiting that North Star,
We never really found
Or perhaps disoriented
Reckless to find in the thunder flavored sharp.
You should have never loved me good.
Can't you see I only know how to hurt you?
Always three steps ahead of me
And I,
Swimming hectomegakilometers
Just to catch up
And I'm not even a great swimmer.
So what’s the point in swimming?
You should have bought a couple
barrels of gasoline
Instead of that
Ring.
Lighted me up
On that Myroxylon balsamum plank.
-The break-
Break?
Funny word that is
After
We
Keep
Opening
Up
Our
Memory
Boxes.
-Break
up-
Keep closing them up
All our stuff
-Split
Up-
When you should have burned
Me
right with them.
-Sorry-
Please stop being so good to me.
