Refined Woman

A Women's Truth

A woman's truth is her pain
So she wears makeup
As her temporary cover up

Ms high class anything goes
Til reality hit
And your truth is exposed

Livin your life in the dark
Because you're so afraid
Afraid of the truth which happens to be your pain

Instead of dealing with it directly
You choose to act out
Adding more scars, mentally and emotionally

It's hard to be you
Because you don't know who "you are"
So you where this mask
This mask of contrast

Battling with who you think you are and who you portray yourself to be
All because you're afraid to face your reality

Not realizing you don't have to do it alone
Many women have been down this path
The path of the unkonwn

Not realizing all you have to do is ask for help
Support is out there and it's pure heartfelt

There's plenty of women who will lend their hand
Who'll walk with you without reprimand

Who'll lift you up and show you the way
To a life less painful and a brigther day
