Reflection
I. First person. Self absorbed.
I, a pronoun of expression or possession. But,
Who am I?
I, a self indulgent specimen
Or generous consort.
No, I am an egotist - maybe.
I, who performs a good deed
Not for the others benefit,
But for acknowledgment.
I, who is misunderstood
Yet is revered.
I, wistfully full of gratitude.
A painting? More like a canvas,
Ready to be smothered.
In charcoal ashes or roseate petals.
I the opposite of a dreamer.
Or maybe the master of a self created illusion.
I raise questions and look for answers.
Who am I?
