Reflection

I am a reflection upon you

My father was not a glass creator

So why am I staring through you

A minor, marrow, mirror

I see she wears a stain like pride repellent

Like a bullet vest strapped to the under developed chest

She stands naked before me

All scars, imperfections, even worries that burn into her almond skin like 3rd degree

Her reflection is arms reach

You stand before me like another man’s trash

Clashed so often all that is left is ash and debris

Her pitch black eyes like a bottomless abyss

Lighting complements her body frame

“you are transparent”

She repeated after me

Slave prone

I watch as she dance to rhythm of defeat, demands

And very rarely her own heart thumbing beats
