Reflection

Your last breath made me lose mine.

I saw the life drain from your body as you tried clinging to life,

But failed.

Why did you leave me so early?

I ask myself all the time, to this day.

Yet, somehow it made me stronger.

I miss you so much.

But because of that, of you, I discovered a new perspective.

Life gave me a greater reason to live.

I was always told I looked like you,

So now I am living the life you should have had.

I am living my life as your little girl.
