Reflection

To myself,

I wonder if you knew

That you could bring yourself

To bid them adieu.

Days have grown into months

And months into years.

Friends have come and gone,

Feeding into your fears.

Yet, that’s the way of life.

Loneliness comes and goes.

In spite of all the strife,

You must continue on.

When you feel lost and fearful,

Know that good times await.

When you feel sure and joyful,

There is no room for hate.

When you feel sad and hurt,

Recall those warm memories.

When you feel loved and safe,

Reciprocate for their sake.

In spite of challenges,

Continue to grow.

No need to overthink.

Just accept and improve.

To all of myself,

You are whole and strong.

Through times of pain and joy,

May you embrace yourself.

Sincerely,

Yourself
