Reflection

As my mind wanders far off into another land

My thoughts are interrupted by the figure

Standing over me

Numb and fearful feelings take over my body

I am no longer strong, no longer have security

My guard is let down and I’m defeated

Left feeling lonely and uncompleted

Coward like actions keeping me from trying

Broken wings keeping me from flying

This dark negative entity that tries to overpower me

Is just a reflection of the person in the mirror staring back at me
